As promised! I’ve been making lots of different flavors in our new Ninja Creami and I’ve been dying to try a bananas foster recipe. Most of the ones I found online contained either banana or bananas foster flavored protein powders and quite frankly, I didn’t have time to wait around for something new to ship to my house. So, I scoured the internet looking at all different types of bananas foster recipes and decided to mix and match them to make my own. All in all, it came out pretty great! I made a few small changes after making it for the first time and I think it’s a winner.

Recipe is for Creami Deluxe 11 in 1
Ingredients
Base
16 oz milk of choice (I used unsweetened almond)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (not required)
1/2 tsp cinnamon (or measure with your heart like I do)
2 tbsp banana pudding mix
Mix-In
1 whole banana, cut into 1 inch pieces
1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
3 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon (again, measure with your heart here)
1 oz spiced rum (can sub with maple syrup and allspice)
1 tbsp cream of choice (*I used coconut- unfortunately the flavor came through ever so slightly, so I would advise using just a splash of a less flavored milk of choice)
*optional: Ghirardelli Caramel Sauce
Preparation
Base
Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Transfer to creami container and freeze for 24 hours.
After 24 hours, let thaw for a few minutes and then process on the lite ice cream setting. Re-spin if needed.
Mix-In
I found it is best to make the mix-in the same day I will be adding it to the ice cream.
In a frying pan, melt butter and sugar together over medium heat, mixing constantly. Add in rum, cinnamon, and bananas and continue to mix until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to caramelize. Reduce heat and mix in the cream. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to come to room temperature.
After processing the ice cream base, pour the banana mixture into the center, and add extra caramel sauce if desired. Process on the mix-in setting.
Enjoy!
