We recently participated in a home tour to promote city living and house projects.
Hundreds of people walked through our home. There were a few things that several people commented on and asked about that I found funny; partly because they had nothing to do with the home tour, and partly because they were SUCH simple things.
One of those things was our wedding date, which is displayed on our mantle.
It was the cheapest and easiest piece of household decor to make- and it’s totally customizable.
This won’t be a long post, because it’s literally only three steps.
DIY Date Display
- Buy a piece of flat wood, and the numbers needed for your wedding date, birthday, date you bought your home, etc. I bought ours at Michaels. I ALWAYS use their coupons. And if you’re not in a rush, you can use them over a few trips, so you save on everything.
- Paint the wood and numbers colors of your choice.
- Glue (I used gorilla glue) or nail numbers to the wood. *I used a ruler and pencil to center the numbers.
Display and enjoy 😘
