The Fiance and I recently registered for the Rock ‘N’ Roll Half Marathon in LA. He is a seasoned marathoner… and this will be my second half-marathon. So why am I a little worried to start training? Well… I’m glad you asked.
If you’ve known me for awhile, you know that for a large majority of my life I have hated running. Like… you can’t even pay me to run from the house to the car in the rain type-hate. However, for a good year and half I started running like a machine.. and LOVED it. The problem? After I ran my first half-marathon (May 2011) and finished with a decent time (if I do say so myself), I decided I had earned a break. Unfortunately.. I’m still on that break.
If you’re like me, you know that when you take too long of a break from running it can be very difficult to get back into the habit and discipline of doing it on a regular basis. If you’ve been there… I would love tips and encouragement. 🙂
